We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator with a background in cladding, curtain walling, re-cladding, and roofing systems to support our pre-construction team. This is a key role in helping the business secure and deliver profitable projects through accurate and timely cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for façade packages including cladding, curtain walling, re-cladding, and roofing.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and scope documentation to assess materials, labour, and time requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and assess technical compliance.
- Evaluate and interpret technical designs to support value engineering and cost-effective solutions.
- Work closely with commercial, design, and project management teams throughout the tender process.
- Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits as required.
- Monitor and track bid progress, ensuring submissions are completed to deadlines.
- Maintain and update estimating tools, databases, and cost libraries.
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the building envelope industry, with a strong understanding of cladding, curtain walling, roofing, and re-cladding.
- Familiarity with façade systems, building regulations, and fire safety compliance.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Full UK driving licence preferred due to occasional site visits.
