With a strong reputation for quality and innovation, they deliver high-profile commercial and residential projects across the UK construction sector. The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join the design team, playing a pivotal role in delivering high-quality façade design solutions. This position includes responsibility for leading process development within a small but busy drawing office and contributing to continuous improvement across design workflows. This is a highly hybrid/remote role, offering flexibility for the right candidate while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams and key project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities * Lead and deliver complex façade design packages from concept through to construction, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements. * Drive and oversee design process improvements and standardisation within the drawing office. * Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior designers and CAD technicians. * Coordinate effectively with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, and contractors. * Ensure all design documentation is delivered accurately, on time, and in accordance with project requirements. * Participate in internal design reviews and support quality assurance procedures. * Contribute to innovation in systems, materials, and methods across the design function. Requirements * Minimum of 8 years’ experience in façade design, ideally within a subcontracting or specialist contractor environment. * In-depth knowledge of curtain walling, glazing systems, and aluminium façades. * Strong CAD proficiency (AutoCAD essential; Revit or 3D modelling experience desirable). * Experience implementing or influencing design process change. * Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills. * Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a remote/hybrid working setup. * Right to work in the UK – visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Desirable * Familiarity with systems such as Schüco, Reynaers, or similar. * Understanding of CWCT standards, thermal modelling, and structural considerations.
