Job Title: Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Installation Team – Subcontract – must be based in the Devon/ Cornwall area to avoid travel/accommodation costs. Location: South West (Devon & Cornwall) Contract Type: Subcontract (Labour-only) Rate: £300 per completed installation About the Role: Our client is seeking experienced and fully qualified Air Source Heat Pump Installation Teams to deliver high-quality domestic installations across Devon and Cornwall. This is a labour-only subcontract role, with equipment delivered directly to site. You’ll be responsible for the full installation and commissioning of ASHP heating systems in line with current regulations and industry standards. This opportunity is ideal for established teams who take pride in their work, meet all compliance requirements, and are looking for consistent, well-supported work in the rapidly growing renewable heating sector. Requirements: All team members must have an up to date DBS or will pass one as this is a requirement to enter an work in customers houses 1. Fully qualified and experienced in installing and commissioning Air Source Heat Pump systems · Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent) 1. This is the foundational qualification for anyone working with domestic heating systems. · Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems (Non-refrigerant Circuits or Refrigerant Circuits) 1. Offered by various providers (e.g., LCL Awards, BPEC, City & Guilds). 2. For refrigerant-based systems, F-Gas may also be required. · WRAS Water Regulations Certificate 1. To ensure installations comply with water supply (water fittings) regulations. · Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems Certificate (G3) 1. Required if the system includes an unvented hot water cylinder. · 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (for electrical work) 1. Required if the installer will be working on or connecting electrical components. 2. Typically held by a team member (qualified electrician). · Part P Certification (Domestic Electrical Installation) 1. Essential for any electrical work involving new circuits or consumer units. 1. At least one team member must be a fully qualified electrician (18th Edition, Part P, or equivalent) 2. F-Gas certification or recognised alternative (where applicable) 3. Competence with pipework, cylinder installation, system flushing, and wiring 4. Familiarity with manufacturers such as Mitsubishi, Samsung, Vaillant, etc. 5. Full set of own tools and transport 6. Based in the South West – able to cover Devon and Cornwall reliably 7. High standard of health and safety practices 8.
