Are you a driven Site Engineer ready to build your career on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects? Green Barks Search are supporting a leading UK earthworks and civil engineering contractor, with a strong track record delivering large-scale infrastructure schemes. With ongoing works on HS2 (Aylesbury) and further phases progressing, they are now looking to strengthen their team with an ambitious Site Engineer.

This is a chance to work at the heart of major earthworks packages, gaining hands‑on experience with GNSS, 3D machine control, and large‑scale site delivery, while benefiting from structured development and mentorship.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a key role in delivering complex earthworks, ensuring works are carried out safely, accurately, and in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct GNSS / GPS surveys and site setting out
  • Review and refine 3D machine control models (Trimble / Leica / Topcon)
  • Support site teams with construction methods and delivery
  • Produce and manage RAMS, QA, and site documentation
  • Carry out quality assurance and soil testing
  • Support short‑term / rolling‑wave planning
  • Monitor progress and site performance
  • Support and mentor junior engineers where required

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer
  • Background in civil engineering / earthworks
  • Minimum 1 year site experience
  • Knowledge of GNSS / Total Station / surveying equipment
  • Understanding of QA processes and site documentation
  • Working towards ICE (IEng/CEng)
  • Full UK driving licence
