Green Barks Search is delighted to be managing the retained appointment of a Business Development Manager – Infrastructure for a leading specialist earthworks contractor, supporting the next phase of its national growth strategy. Our client is an established infrastructure business with decades of delivery behind it and a strong reputation across major civil engineering, utilities, and reservoir schemes. As the organisation continues to expand, this senior hire will play a pivotal role in early client engagement, bid shaping, and pre-construction strategy.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a high-impact opportunity for someone with strong infrastructure knowledge, technical credibility, and the ability to influence commercial and procurement thinking at feasibility stage. You’ll work closely with estimating, technical, and operational teams to identify opportunities, shape scope, and position the business for projects in excess of £25m. Leading conversations early, influencing bid strategy, and representing the company’s technical capability will be central to your success. This role also carries responsibility for raising market presence — strengthening visibility through digital channels, events, and targeted thought leadership. You’ll help ensure the business is seen, heard, and well positioned within the infrastructure sector. You’ll be based from the Essex HQ at least three days per week, operating within a high-trust, delivery-focused leadership team.
