Role and Responsibilities

We’re looking for a customer-focused Service & Support Executive to join an SME environment, acting as a key point of contact for customers and working closely with Sales, Finance, Purchasing and Operations.

  • Managing customer enquiries, orders and queries from start to finish.
  • Building strong customer relationships and providing excellent service.
  • Resolving problems and taking ownership when things go wrong.
  • Supporting Sales with customer information, quotations and opportunities.
  • Monitoring customer stock, agreements and call-off activity.
  • Liaising with suppliers on availability, lead times and deliveries.
  • Supporting Finance with invoice and order queries.
  • Keeping customer records and information accurate and up to date.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and customer experience.

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience in customer service, customer support, account support or a similar role.
  • Ideally, experience within packaging, manufacturing, distribution or supply chain.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus and a genuine desire to provide a great customer experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Takes ownership and sees issues through to resolution.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different areas of the business.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP or order management systems.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle customer information appropriately.

Salary

Up to £34,000 plus bonus, hybrid working
