Purpose of job: To lead and manage the Quality Management System across the site, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role places a strong emphasis on driving a quality-first culture, improving product consistency, reducing defects, and enhancing customer satisfaction, while also maintaining robust Health & Safety practices.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO and industry standards
- Drive a culture of quality excellence, focusing on prevention, right-first time, and continuous improvement
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring ongoing compliance and successful accreditation
- Act as the main point of contact for customer quality issues, leading investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Analyse quality data and KPIs to identify trends, implement improvements, and reduce waste and non-conformance
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to embed quality into all processes
- Support and oversee Health & Safety systems, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies
- Conduct risk assessments and promote a proactive safety culture across the site
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to drive engagement and high performance

- Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to drive cultural change
- Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies (e.g. 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
- In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO standards
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements
- Strong communication skills, both internally and with customers
- High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Proven experience in a senior Quality role within manufacturing, ideally packaging or a similar industry
- Demonstrable experience leading audits and maintaining ISO certifications
- Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations and practices
- NEBOSH or equivalent (desirable)
- Six Sigma qualification (desirable)
