We are working with a well-established distributor of packaging consumables that provides a complete packaging solution to each one of its clients.
Title: Sales Coordinator
Role and Responsibilities:
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to be an integral part of a sales team providing back-office support (including providing quotes and placing orders) to enable a field sales packaging specialist to spend their time actively selling, as well as account management to generate new sales orders.
Keys responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Support to allocated Packaging Specialist/s (Field sales)
Generate quotes
Process orders
Liaise with Warehouse to check order on course and inform customers of any potential delays/problems escalating to packaging specialist when appropriate
Deal with customer enquiries
Escalate issues to packaging specialist as and when required
Account Management/Sales
Provide account management for allocated customers including:
Be main point of call for all enquiries
Manage stock levels for call off stock
Deal with any queries/complaints escalating when appropriate
Proactively target new and inactive customers with the aim of gaining sales/regular custom
Actively cross-sell and up-sell products to existing customers
General Admin
Answer incoming calls and relocate them to the appropriate person if necessary
Respond to emails that come into general sales email address
File quotes and orders
Qualifications and knowledge:
Worked in a similar internal sales role
Worked for Wholesaler/Merchant preferable but not essential
Excellent customer service skills
Good planning and organisation skills
Strong IT skills including using email, word, Business Central (or similar customer order system)
Sales skills
Salary & Benefits:
£26,765.00, rising to £28,394.89
25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays
