A leading distributor of closures and containers (plastic and glass) to food and non-food sectors is looking for a Field Based Sales Executive to join their team, paying up to £55,000 pa depending on experience.
The main purpose of the Sales Manager will be to accelerate the growth of revenues and profit, working with the Regional Sales Director to develop sales penetration and new business across the wider business.
- 50/50 Account Management / New Business
Tasks and responsibilities of the Field Sales Manager:
- Report to the Regional Sales Manager
- Take ownership, accountability and responsibility for a specified territory customer base, new business and annual sales targets/KPIs.
- Protect and effectively manage the existing business customer base.
- Grow the existing and new customer base into existing or new items/sectors.
- Protect against lost business and reduce the amount of churn in the customer base.
- Drive growth in new and existing customers on an individual and regional basis.
- Deliver revenue and profit objectives in line with the annual budget.
- Enable buying and make it easy for customers to trade with us.
- Improve the buying experience for new customers, focusing on increasing conversion rates.
- Improve the customer experience for existing/repeat customers, focusing on generating customer loyalty and increasing retention.
- Create value in the organisation, products and services offered.
- Work with the Regional Sales Director and other senior managers to advance and execute strategic plans to reach sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Work closely with marketing to design and implement the organisation's sales strategy.
- Collaborate with other areas of the business to develop marketing materials and opportunities.
- Align support functions to uncover customers' true problems and provide solutions to meet their needs and expectations.
- Understand the market and trends within it.
- Serve as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions.
New Business Development:
- Support the Regional Sales Director and Senior Sales Manager (New Business Specialist) to develop initiatives that drive new markets, new customers and new products.
- Communicate all the above in a pro-active and enthusiastic way to help develop sales for the Group.
Salary: Up to £55,000 pa depending on experience plus bonus & car.
