Your Role
We require a Midday Assistant who enjoys working with children to join our caring school to supervise the children at lunchtime:
- Supervision of children in the playground
- Encouraging the children to eat their meal in the dining hall
- Ensuring that hygiene standards are met
- Working as a team
- Ability to work calmly with any incidents which may arise
- Assisting including basic first aid
About You
The role requires strong organisational skills to manage playground games and the ability to build positive relationships with children and adults. A basic understanding of child development, safeguarding, health and safety, and first aid is essential. You should effectively manage pupil behaviour, demonstrate a caring and professional attitude, and maintain confidentiality. You must be able to work independently or as part of a team, using initiative when needed. Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility are important, along with a willingness to take on additional duties. Previous experience working with children is desirable.
