Coffee Shop Supervisor/Assistant. Overview. We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Head Barista/Supervisor to lead our coffee shop team with passion and precision. Duties

• Supervise daily coffee shop operations, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to food safety standards.
• Lead by example in preparing high-quality coffee beverages, utilizing skills in espresso extraction, brewing, and food handling.
• Train and mentor team members on coffee preparation, POS systems, customer service, and food safety protocols.
• Manage cashier/till operations.
• Oversee inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food industry regulations and health codes through diligent food safety practices.
• Foster a positive team environment by motivating staff, resolving conflicts promptly, and promoting teamwork.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Extensive barista experience with proficiency in coffee brewing techniques and beverage customization.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
• Exceptional customer service abilities to create welcoming experiences for diverse guests.
• Knowledge of food preparation, handling, serving, and safety standards within a café or food service setting.
• Effective communication skills to train staff and interact confidently with customers.
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Working Hours

• Full-time, permanent position.
• Daytime operations, flexible to work weekends and holidays.
• Fast-paced environment.
• Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week.
