Opportunity for a Masters graduate looking to enter green finance
The Local Net Zero Accelerator (LNZA) programme is seeking a capable and passionate Masters graduate to join the team for a fixed-term placement. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth in the field of green finance and sustainable investment, and would suit students completing their MSc in Climate Change, Management & Finance.
Background
LNZA is a £19m UK government funded programme being delivered by the Greater South East Net Zero Hub, part of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA). The programme supports three regional Pilots, each developing a place-based investment prospectus containing bundles of projects that will help the region reach net zero. LNZA is testing the replicability and scalability of this approach with the investment community.
The role will report into the LNZA Programme Lead but work on a day-to-day basis with the team’s Finance Lead and other colleagues. The role will include providing green finance support to the Pilots, providing independent review and quality assurance of the services provided and undertaking intelligence gathering to capture processes and decisions on a day-to-day basis to inform and shape future support to public sector organisations.
The post holder will have an excellent understanding of and experience in project investment and produce written work to a high standard, ensuring alignment with programme goals.
How to apply
The position is open for applications now. The position will be a fixed-term placement, to begin as soon as possible and to end by 31st March 2026. Applicants should note that they must have the right to work in the UK for the entire duration of the placement, and that CPCA are unable to sponsor visas.
This may mean that applicants on student visas have to undertake a shorter placement, ending earlier than 31st March 2026.
Applicants should state their preferred start and end dates in their application, and also state the basis of their right to work in the UK.
