The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

This role will provide administrative support to the Clinical Lead of the Immunisation Improvement Project. The post holder will support the Clinical Lead to improve immunisation uptake across the borough by cleansing data, recoding incorrect information, improving recall processes, developing robust processes to deliver immunisations and actively calling patients to book appointments.

Main duties of the job:

  • Analysing immunisation reports from various sources including CHIS and QOF.
  • Cleansing data and correcting incorrect codes on GP practice clinical systems.
  • Telephoning patients and booking immunisation appointments on behalf of GP practices.
  • Working collaboratively with the Clinical Lead and independently where required.
  • Aiding the design and maintenance of accurate databases and records.
  • Collating and entering data and producing reports.
  • Maintaining effective, up-to-date secure and appropriately accessible records management systems as per GDPR and Data Security requirements.
  • Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of best practice administrative processes and systems.
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

This post involves the use of display screen equipment (DSE) as a significant part of normal work and the job holder will be a user as defined in the Health & Safety Policy on work with DSE. The post holder may need to work from different locations.

Person Specification:

Knowledge:

  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and software programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of equal opportunity and diversity issues.
  • Working knowledge of EMIS.
  • Working knowledge of SystmOne.
  • Knowledge of childhood immunisation schedule.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE Passes at grade C or above or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of consistent pattern of learning from education, training and experience.
  • Evidence of working autonomously and as part of a team.
  • RSA qualification or equivalent experience including word and excel.

Experience:

  • Significant administrative / secretarial experience including maintaining office systems.
  • Demonstrable experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Previous experience of working in primary care, the NHS or Social Care.
  • Evidence of working autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience and/or a good understanding of General Practice.
  • Contribute to the population and analysis of QOF reports.

Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure in an organised way.
  • Well-developed word processing/data collection/IT skills.
  • Excellent communicator with good verbal, written, data entry and presentation skills: capable of constructing and delivering clear information/instructions to staff and service users.
  • Able to demonstrate good coordination and organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise work.
  • Effective team working and ability to work with staff at all levels.
  • Advanced IT Skills and the use of Microsoft Office, accurate typing.
  • Able to communicate with, co-ordinate and liaise with a multidisciplinary team and multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to assess and respond to requests and solve problems.
  • Able to drive and travel to practices within Bolton.
  • Able to analyse data and information, drawing out relevant points to note.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective communication pathways within the organisation and other healthcare providers.
  • Willingness to undertake training to develop within the role.
