Central Ticket Office – Hyde Police Station
Based at Hyde police station in Tameside, the Central Ticket Office (CTO) is part of our Specialist Operations Branch. The office is responsible for the administration and processing of Road Safety Camera offences, fixed penalties, traffic offence reports and any associated driver awareness courses.
The office deals with the prosecutions of offenders who fail to comply with the Road Traffic Act and oversees the deployment and use of Road Safety Camera equipment with the aim of reducing those killed and seriously injured on the roads of Greater Manchester.
Team Leader – Roles and Responsibilities
The Team Leader will provide strong leadership for highly motivated and hard‑working teams within the Central Ticket Office. Building effective relationships with both internal and external partners and organisations is a key part of the role.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting Teams and other Team Leaders with administrative functions in the processing of fixed penalty offences, driver awareness courses and divisional summons/Postal Charge Requisition offences.
- Ensuring staff are available to deal with the various processes and progress on various systems, from camera images through to information being laid to the courts in a timely manner.
- Managing leave and personnel issues.
- Dealing in detail with complex emails, letters and telephone calls from members of the public and mentoring your team.
- Preparing reports or statement of facts for both CTO Management and other Team Leaders, and disseminating information to the relevant department or officer.
The role, although busy, will be rewarding for the right applicant.
