About the Role

This role sits under the talent portfolio within the People Branch, responsible for day‑to‑day administration and coordination of police officer promotion processes. The role provides administrative support for GMP police officer promotion processes and Legal Knowledge and National Investigator Examinations (LKE and NIE). It also provides candidate coordinator support for all live promotion processes. This is not an agile role and you will be based at Sedgley Park with some requirement to cover senior promotion process coordination at Force Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day‑to‑day administration and coordination of police officer promotion processes.
  • Provide administrative support for GMP police officer promotion processes, Legal Knowledge and National Investigator Examinations (LKE & NIE).
  • Coordinate candidate support for all live promotion processes.
  • Assist in senior promotion process coordination at Force Headquarters as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience maintaining and developing administrative systems, filing, record‑keeping, and data input.
  • Capability to perform a high volume of transactional activity.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong customer‑service orientation to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and set priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
