An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a team to join the Serious Crime Directorate Coordination unit in the position of Operational Support Officer. The successful applicant will play an important part in providing a range of support services to the Directorate and its units. Greater Manchester Police is one of the largest police forces in the UK and is responsible for keeping its diverse population of almost three million people safe.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a range of support services to the Directorate and its units.
- Engage with GMP colleagues and stakeholders.
- Check, record, input and retrieve information using IT systems.
- Work effectively under pressure and in tight timescales, delivering high-quality work.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records.
- Communicate written information clearly and professionally.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years of age at the time of application.
- At least 5 years of continuous residency in the UK.
- Right to work in the UK and ability to work the required hours.
- Previous experience dealing with customers over the telephone, checking and recording information.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
