This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, motivated and adaptable legal practitioner to join our friendly and supportive in‑house Employment and Misconduct Team within Legal Services, based at Force Headquarters.

Responsibilities
  • Provide practical and timely legal advice on employment law issues, including discrimination, whistleblowing and misconduct.
  • Handle a case load of complex police misconduct proceedings and employment‑related litigation.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels across the Force.
  • Diversify into the area of police misconduct work; no prior experience required, as training and support will be provided.
Qualifications
  • Legal practitioner with thorough understanding of employment law.
  • Excellent communication and client‑care skills.
  • Strong team‑player, capable of managing a demanding case load.
  • Candidate must undergo security vetting.
