Are you an organised, proactive professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment? We are looking for a Governance & Office Coordinator to provide essential support to our Specialist Operations Planning Unit, Specialist Operations Branch. This role is central to maintaining our Command Public Order accreditation, supporting operational planning processes, and ensuring the smooth running of office and governance functions across the unit.

As our Governance & Office Coordinator, you will:

  • Lead on public order accreditation management, ensuring accurate, compliant records and liaising with key internal and external partners.
  • Manage and maintain essential databases.
  • Produce high‑quality management information, reports, statistics, and performance insights for senior leaders.
  • Service meetings at all levels, including minute‑taking for Gold and Silver Planning meetings.
  • Act as a key point of contact for enquiries from senior officers.
  • Support the organisation and governance of public order training and specialist courses, ensuring GMP maintains its operational capability.
  • Take a lead role during operational periods, sometimes requiring flexibility and unsociable hours to support operations.

You’ll be part of a unit that plays a vital role in keeping Greater Manchester safe. You’ll work alongside highly skilled officers and staff, helping to support the planning and governance behind significant policing operations.
