The Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are recruiting Digital Forensic Investigators for the Digital Forensic Investigation Unit (DFIU). In this role you will conduct intelligence‑led digital forensic investigations on a wide range of digital devices and sources, providing evidence and expert interpretation suitable for court use. You will present findings to investigators, prosecutors and the courts, and lead on cutting‑edge research and development within a dynamic team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing and analysing data from a wide range of digital devices.
- Presenting evidence to police investigators, prosecutors and the courts.
- Working closely with specialist practitioners on complex high‑profile cases.
- Supporting the development of forensic procedures and research.
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in digital forensics, computing or a related field.
- Significant experience in digital forensic examinations of various devices.
