This role would be ideal for an existing land, geospatial or CAD/engineering surveyor. Do you have an interest in forensics? Do you hold a recognised professional survey qualification or completed a recognised survey-related training course. Then this is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialised area of policing.

The Forensic Imaging Unit is a small team within Forensic Services who provide 24 / 7 cover for the entire force area from their base in Chadderton, Manchester.

In the role of a Crime Scene Surveyor, you will be a critical part of the investigation of serious and major crime. You will:

  • Attend major incident crime scenes to carry out scan capture
  • Complete post-production work – Fly Throughs and Plan production

5. Experience of working in a AutoCAD environment.

6. Experience of 3D laser scanning and post survey data processing software.

7. Works on multiple tasks concurrently and assess sèche impact of deadlines, works to tight time scales.

8. Evidence of strong interpersonal skills

9. Hold a valid UK driving licence with access to own vehicle for work purposes.
