We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Trainee Duty Managers to become our future leaders. Learning and development is at the heart of what we do and here at Oldham Active we like to grow and develop our own people.
Hours: Various hours (30 - 40 hours a week) and across various sites.
Salary: £26,508 p.a. (pro rata on number of contracted hours).
Role
This role will be best suited for candidates who want to gain valuable experience in a managerial role within the leisure sector with advancement potential. During the programme, which is over a two-year period you’ll become competent in key front line and supervisory roles. You will also get to know the nuts and bolts of our company’s functions and operations from a day-to-day perspective as well as training in:
- Industry awareness
- Operational training
- Customer experience
- Sales and Marketing
- Equality, diversity and inclusion
- Conflict management
- General data protection regulation (GDPR) training
- Health and safety
- Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
- People management
- Business and financial management
- Business communication
This role is an advanced apprenticeship programme where a formal Leisure Duty Manager qualification (level 3) will be completed for all candidates. You will also have to complete an STA Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguard Qualification. The successful candidates will be assigned an internal mentor to support and guide throughout the programme.
