Oldham Athletic Community Trust (OACT) is recruiting a Community Projects Manager to play a key role in the next phase of our growth and ambition. The Community Projects Manager will lead and support a diverse portfolio of community projects, with a particular focus on health and wellbeing, while also contributing across education and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the delivery of a range of OACT projects across multiple themes.
  • Plan, manage and deliver high-quality, inclusive and needs-led community-based activities across Oldham.
  • Effectively manage a team of delivery staff, as the project grows and the delivery portfolio diversifies.
  • Ensure that all project budgets are kept and align to organisational financial aims and reporting systems.
  • Develop operational plans, to ensure that projects are successfully delivered against set outcomes and KPIs.
  • Work with the Head of Community, colleagues and partners to develop and grow project provision.
  • Support the development and maintenance of partnerships with local authorities, community groups, schools, health providers and other stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain and manage the operational relationships with the relevant grant funding bodies.
  • Ensure all projects meet agreed KPIs and outcomes, with accurate monitoring and reporting completed for funders and partners.
  • Identify and develop partnerships/opportunities to grow additional community engagement initiatives.
  • Provide regular performance, impact and financial reports for the Head of Community and other members of the Senior Management Team and Board as requested.

  • Identify and work with the Head of Community on grant funding applications and other innovative fundraising activities to support the sustainability and increase the reach of OACT community engagement activity/new activity.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of project and programme delivery through relevant M&E and performance management processes.
  • Support the quality assurance and risk management of all project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records, registers and monitoring data using systems such as Salesforce.
  • Promote OACT projects through social media, marketing and community engagement activities.
  • Represent OACT at stakeholder and community meetings when required.
  • Support the management of sessional staff, volunteers or coaches involved in project delivery.
  • Act as a flexible member of the OACT team, supporting other projects and activities as required, including evenings and weekends.
