Trafford Leisure is looking for an outstanding individual to join our team as a SEND Inclusion Specialist.

Location: move Altrincham

Rate: £13 per hour

Hours: 36.25 per week

This ambitious programme will see the portfolio of leisure centres transformed into fit-for-purpose, accessible, inspiring spaces under a new brand of “move” for future generations to come.

The Role

This specialist role focuses on championing inclusive practice at move Altrincham. You will work closely with the site team, families, and partners to ensure children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), neurodivergent individuals, and those facing barriers to participation can fully access our programmes and facilities. As part of a Community Interest Company (CIC), your work will make a real difference to the residents of Trafford and the wider Greater Manchester community. From supporting staff with inclusive approaches to coordinating access audits and developing assessment tools for swimming and gymnastics, you will help embed inclusive practice and improve health outcomes for people with SEND.

  • Help embed inclusive practice to improve health outcomes for people with SEND.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND (professional or lived experience considered).
  • Knowledge of inclusive practice and reasonable adjustments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver training and support staff confidently.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Training in SEND, neurodiversity, safeguarding, and EEDI will be provided if not already held.
