Detailed job description and main responsibilities To demonstrate the application of specialist skills and knowledge in order to maintain professional competence and fitness to practice at Senior Practitioner level To demonstrate professional and practice expertise via interventions, supervision and modelling good practice. To undertake and record comprehensive risk assessment, devise and implement risk assessment plans for service users at risk of vulnerability, self harm, self neglect, or risk of physical, sexual, emotional harm to others, using the STAR risk assessment Tool. To provide direct evidence based therapeutic interventions as appropriate based on the recovery model and personalisation agenda. To take responsibility for managing a ring fenced caseload of service users, with complex mental health needs. Take a lead role in the supervision of staff with a focus on supporting complex case management To ensure practice remains current and up to date in the area of older adult mental health To oversee and participate in Initial Assessments.
