The predicted salary is between 56515 - 56515 £ per year.
Provide specialist CAMHS clinical leadership, supervision, support and consultation to the MDT in the MHLS team, in line with relevant clinical pathway, as outlined within the operational procedures and relevant service specification. Be expected to take a lead on developing and maintaining robust holistic care pathways into wider Children and Young People's services, from the general hospital. Lead on the development of the MDT knowledge and skills set around the assessment and response to the needs of Children and Young People. This will be achieved through the delivery of training, consultation and supervision as core aspects of this role. The standards and content of which would be in line with national guidance, agreed best practice and be centred on a standardised core set of clinical competencies.
Main duties of the job:
- Support the management of the integrated MHLS multidisciplinary 24-hour mental health service.
- Provide direct patient interventions for Children and Young People, focusing on relapse prevention, early discharge and improved quality of life for patients referred to the service.
- Be expected to provide, and support the wider MDT in providing, safe and comprehensive assessments of Children and Young People attending the A & E department, including offering advice, support and consultation in the development of highly developed risk assessments and management plans for this patient group.
27 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.
Current registration with relevant body (NMC, HCPC, SW England) Leadership/Management training Registered Mental Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker.
ESSENTIAL:
- To have had experience in participating in multi-agency meetings e.g. Adult and Child Safeguarding and Capacity/Best Interest Meetings.
- Have a sound knowledge of Mental Health Act and age-specific Legislation.
- To have had experience as the lead contact with the providers of Nursing Training for nursing students on clinical placements within the relevant teams and an understanding of the minimum requirements for promoting robust clinical placements.
- Have experience of working within liaison services/assessment within A&E Department /General Hospital.
- Ability to communicate in a variety of settings and form excellent working relationships.
- Have experience supporting people who misuse alcohol or drugs.
