Registered Nurse Associate in Salford

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nursing Associate to join the Salford Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service on a 0.8 WTE fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. Flexible working arrangements can be considered, with the service operating Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.

This community-based role focuses on improving the physical health outcomes of people experiencing a first episode of psychosis through health screening, monitoring, health promotion, and physical health interventions. The successful applicant will join a high-performing, friendly and diverse multidisciplinary team, with access to comprehensive training, supervision, and support to develop within the role.

Main duties of the job:

• Completing physical health checks within both clinic and home visit settings, supporting the nursing and medical teams with bloods, ECG's, depots (if trained), and other checks and tests as identified by the MDT.

Pay Enhancements:

• 30% additional for Evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays
• 60% additional for Sundays and Bank holidays.

27 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.

Person specification:

• Qualifications: Qualified and appropriately registered nursing practitioner.
• Experience: Experience of completing physical health checks as required within JD; Experience gained within NHS setting.
• Skills: Experience of working with and engaging patients under a mental health service.

Important Information about working for GMMH:

All positions within the Trust are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. The Trust mandates all post holders who require a DBS for their role to subscribe to the DBS Update Service. You will be required to enrol for this service for a fee of £16 per year and maintain registration throughout your employment with GMMH.
