The Receptionist will be responsible for providing clinic administration and reception support to patients attending Outpatient Clinics. This includes greeting patients, recording attendance and clinical outcomes on the PARIS system, and booking future appointments. The role requires maintaining confidentiality, ensuring efficient patient service, and managing clinic administration functions on PARIS.

The post holder will interact with the public, nursing, medical staff, and administrative personnel. They must ensure all reception processes are timely and accurate, providing a high-quality service. Flexibility is essential, as agents participate in rotational cover across reception areas.

Person specification

Education/Qualifications

  • RSA Level 2, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent experience; GCSEs in English and Math.
  • Relevant IT qualifications.

Experience

  • Office environment experience, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Experience working with the public, including patients.
  • Familiarity with office equipment and healthcare settings.

Skills and Abilities

  • Effective time management and prioritization.
  • Advanced keyboard and IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
