Job overview
GMMH Facilities is seeking a Receipt & Distribution (R&D) Stores Assistant for our Facilities Team. The role involves supporting our services through technological advancements and process improvements to deliver excellent service to our users and customers.
The successful candidate will be part of the R&D team, working with colleagues across CEF Facilities and the wider organization to ensure high-quality service delivery.
This role includes driving, distribution, portering, and stores duties, with full training provided. The candidate will work closely with the team to provide flexible, comprehensive services, focusing on customer service and stakeholder engagement.
Main duties of the job
- Serve as the front-facing contact for the Prestwich Stores team, with occasional contact with service users.
- Maintain a professional and friendly image of the team.
- Ensure confidentiality in line with Information Governance policies.
- Report recurring issues to management.
- Assist with sorting goods and mail.
- Perform routine and non-routine portering and delivery duties.
- Safely deliver medication, specimens, food, and goods following policies.
- Use power tools occasionally for dismantling furniture.
- Process and receipt goods onto the stores system.
- Move cages, boxes, and pallets regularly.
- Follow Health & Safety protocols and report issues.
