We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner. The successful applicant will be a Registered Allied Health Professional or Nurse with considerable clinical experience, and will act as an active senior leader in North Manchester, providing leadership and guidance to the wider team. The role involves clinical interventions, clinical oversight, supervision, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. A thorough understanding of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Human Rights Act is essential, as these provide the framework for all care decisions.
Main duties:
- Practice at an advanced clinical level and exercise high levels of judgement, discretion and decision‑making in clinical care.
- Provide clinical leadership, expert practice, advanced knowledge and strategic direction for adult acute mental health.
- Lead clinical governance and management ensuring safe, quality and effective care.
- Improve workforce knowledge and practice through inpatient education and training.
- Lead service development, evaluation and audit to improve care quality and safety.
Benefits:
- Pay enhancements: 30% additional for evenings (8 pm onwards) and Saturdays; 60% additional for Sundays and bank holidays.
- 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 29 days after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.

Qualifications and experience:
- Extensive experience in clinical roles within mental health, including inpatient services.
- Experience in project management, change management and quality improvement.
- Non‑medical prescriber status.
- Teaching qualification and clinical supervision/mentorship training.
- Ability to lead audits, root‑cause analysis, complaints and HR investigations.
Knowledge and skills:
- Extensive knowledge of psychological, social and biological factors and ability to formulate comprehensive bio‑psycho‑social and risk management plans.
- Facilitation of life‑long learning culture and participation in clinical supervision processes.
