An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and passionate Team Manager to join the Manchester Mental Health Liaison Team (MHLT). The MHLT based in Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital is a PLAN accredited Liaison Service offering a comprehensive range of mental health specialties within one multi-disciplinary team so that all patients, regardless of age, with a suspected or actual mental health problem can be assessed, treated, signposted, or referred appropriately.
The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day running of the service ensuring safe, high quality care delivery in-line with the agreed service KPIs. They will manage day-to-day operational tasks within the team, such as providing line management supervision and HR-related tasks, and demonstrate strong leadership skills, with a focus on staff development and well-being.

Main duties of the job:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the service.
- Ensure safe, high quality care delivery in-line with the agreed service KPIs.
- Provide line management supervision and HR-related tasks.
Person specification:
- Qualifications: Degree in RMN, Occupational Therapy or Social Work; additional qualification relevant to job role.
- Experience: Experience within a leadership role previously.
- Skills: Ability to manage complex cases autonomously; line management and staff development skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the function and purpose of a Home Based Treatment Team; knowledge of the functions and purposes of our MHLT and inpatient colleagues.
Important Information about working for GMMH: All positions within the Trust are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. The Trust mandates all post holders who require a DBS for their role to subscribe to the DBS Update Service. You will be required to enrol for this service for a fee of £16 per year and maintain registration throughout your employment with GMMH.
