We are seeking a Quality Improvement (QI) Team member with lived experience of mental health services to champion co-production and inclusion across projects. The role involves engaging with service users, carers, communities and staff to design and deliver impactful QI initiatives, using data and feedback to influence change.

Key responsibilities:
  • Champion co-production and inclusion across QI projects
  • Engage with diverse communities to reduce inequalities
  • Support delivery, monitoring and improvement of QI programmes
  • Use data and feedback to influence change
  • Develop metrics to measure co-production and engagement, and report through governance channels
  • Support QI leads and managers to be inclusive and identify co-production risks and mitigation
  • Maintain QI project documentation and monitor progress to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met
Main duties of the job:
  • Provide advice, support and direct intervention to ensure all QI projects are co‑created and co‑designed with people who use services
  • Lead initiatives focused on inequalities, ensuring appropriate engagement, measurement and feedback cycles with disadvantaged communities
  • Collaborate with the GMMH PCREF lead and EDI team to embed coproduction in all projects
  • Interpret, display and use relevant data sets to support improvement projects
  • Create, monitor and update systems to manage QI projects and ensure mitigation of co‑production risks
  • Report on metrics and governance outcomes to senior leadership
Person specification:Education / Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience in the use of mental health services (inpatient or community)
  • Improvement qualification or training
  • Management / Leadership qualification
  • Recognised project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2)
Experience:
  • Used mental health services for more than one year and can draw on that experience to inform co‑production plans
  • Experience in QI projects
  • Experience receiving services in health, wellbeing or public health settings
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across a large organisation
  • Business skills, management and analysis experience
  • Line management experience
  • Experience supporting programme delivery for physical and/or mental health improvements
  • Experience of NHS clinical information/system administration
Knowledge:
  • Project management software, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Coproduction approaches and frameworks
  • QI methodology
  • Health and social care quality agenda
  • Project management aspects: integration, scope, quality, risk, communication, stakeholder engagement
