Job Overview
- Position: Band 4 Medical Secretary
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, permanent, full-time 9am‑5pm Monday to Friday.
- Department: Perinatal Clinical Management Team (Perinatal CMHT) within Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust.
- Salary: £28,392–£31,157 per annum (pro rata).
- Leave: 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 after 10 years.
Main Duties
The successful applicant will provide senior secretarial support to the consultant and other clinical staff, coordinating the dissemination of information within the team, managing telephone calls from service users and health professionals, and handling confidential documentation. They will work with initiative, often under pressure, and support the smooth running of the Perinatal service.
Requirements and Experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

- Experience in a supervisory role and/or management of staff.
- Experience working with members of the general public, including patients/service users.
