Job overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly experienced administrator to join our busy CMHT Older Adults Team. You will be part of a team of administrators providing admin cover to our service users, clinicians and other health professionals.

Main duties of the job:

  • The successful post holder will be responsible for processing referrals in a timely manner, ensuring all personal information is recorded accurately and confidentially and other data quality/target procedures.
  • Answer incoming calls to the service, arrange appointments, and complete general correspondence letters/reports.
  • The post holder will provide an administrative function to the clinical team, be responsible for taking minutes on a rota basis for team meetings/MDT/safeguarding and professionals meetings, answer a high volume of calls on a daily basis as well as complete other administrative tasks such as scanning/copying.

Benefits:

  • Pay Enhancements – 30% additional for Evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays and 60% additional for Sundays and Bank holidays.
  • 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.

Good level of education: Maths and English including a level 3 qualification (e.g. NVQ, B-TEC QCF, Apprenticeship) or equivalent.

RSA 2 qualification/experience using DICT8 or other audio typing systems. Other relevant IT qualifications.

Experience:

  • Have experience in working in a busy office that ensures confidentiality.
  • Experience of working in a Healthcare setting.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective time management skills.
  • The ability to navigate IT systems, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to be numerate and provide statistical data accurately.
  • The ability to prioritise and plan conflicting and complex work demands.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Patient administration background, knowledge of the EPR system.
  • Be helpful & approachable.

Knowledge:

  • The Data Protection Act and client confidentiality.
  • Mental health issues and challenges.
