We are seeking a motivated and proactive Digital Systems Support & Training Officer (DiSSTO) to join our IM&T team, with a key role working on the implementation of the Trust's Patient Engagement Portal. This varied position combines systems administration, user support, and the design and delivery of high-quality training to ensure staff are confident in using digital tools that improve patient access, communication, and engagement. You will play an integral role in the rollout and ongoing optimisation of the Patient Engagement Portal, working closely with clinical and operational teams to support implementation, drive adoption, and embed best practice.
The role involves providing Helpdesk and on-site support, contributing to system maintenance, data quality, and testing of upgrades, and acting as a key link between end users, project teams, and technical colleagues. In addition, identifying training needs, developing engaging learning materials, and delivering training through a blended approach. Main duties of the job:
- The Digital Systems Support & Training Officer will play a key role in supporting the Patient Engagement Portal Systems Manager, Senior Systems Officer, and wider project team.
- You’ll be involved in User Acceptance Testing, feeding into the project team and will be involved with the Trust-wide rollout, delivering system administration, maintenance, as well as providing training and ongoing support to GMMH system users.

- Experience of Undertaking System Administrator Tasks
- Operational/Administrative experience of digital information systems
- Experience of producing guidance
- Experience of providing a support service
- Experience of fault analysis and corrective actions
- Ability to act on own initiative
- Experience of creating materials using Captivate or similar
- Experience of working within a clinical service
Knowledge:
- Awareness and understanding of national digital related initiatives
- Knowledge of IG and DPP
- Ability to analyse and act on training evaluation feedback
- Knowledge of Mental Health Services
- Understanding of NHS Data Standards and Definitions
Skills and Abilities:
- An adaptable and flexible approach to work
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to use appropriate initiative, prioritise workload and manage competing demands
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to produce clear, concise documents, information and reports for a wide range of stakeholders.

Education/Qualifications:
- Recognised qualification in computer software use (e.g. ECDL) or equivalent level of experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Recognised teaching qualification e.g. PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
Important Information about working for GMMH: All positions within the Trust are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. The Trust mandates all post holders who require a DBS for their role to subscribe to the DBS Update Service. You will be required to enrol for this service for a fee of £16 per year and maintain registration throughout your employment with GMMH.
