An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 suitably experienced mental health practitioner to work within the Bolton Mental Health Liaison Service at The Royal Bolton Hospital. The service operates 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. We are looking for enthusiastic, ‘can do’, motivated Band 6 Mental Health Practitioners from a range of professional backgrounds including perinatal, later life and CYP to join us. The Bolton Mental Health Liaison Services comprises a dynamic and welcoming team of psychiatrists and mental health practitioners. They complete mental health assessments on persons referred to the service from the Royal Bolton Hospital. The Bolton Mental Health Liaison Service provides a reassuring and responsive service to both the referrer and the person referred.
Main duties of the job include:
- Acting as the shift coordinator triaging referrals.
- Being an active participant within the multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical input to cases supporting the development of risk and management plans.
- Participating in the ongoing development of the Bolton Mental Health Liaison service, completing relevant training, engaging in the appraisal process and being involved in service review and development.
As the successful candidate, you will be enthusiastic, flexible and committed to delivering high quality mental health care in the general hospital and A&E settings. You will bring with you a range of experiences and an established knowledge base that will further enrich our teams and the service we provide.
