Mental health services in Manchester are working towards Community Transformation; with a new framework the vision is for a place-based community mental health model.
As such, we are looking for a Social Worker who is able to take up a role in supporting our service users in delivering high quality, person centred, strength based social care duties, through empowering assessments and support for individuals within our Specialist CMHTs in North Manchester.

We can offer you a place on our in-house ASYE programme or the chance to develop your knowledge and skills by completing AMHP training, Best Interest Assessor Training and Practice Education. We have bimonthly AMHP and social work forums. You will have access to social work specific supervision delivered by an experienced social worker. Alongside this there are opportunities to be involved in research or complete psychosocial intervention training

Main duties of the job
To support individuals referred to secondary mental health services for assessment or ongoing care. To demonstrate the Trust values of inspiring hope, working together, to be caring and compassionate, to value and respect others/ourselves and to be open and honest.
As a qualified Social Worker you will demonstrate and live the Professional Standards as identified by Social Work England.
Your post will include working with individuals using research based interventions to promote their independence and recovery whilst maintaining high quality clinical documentation.
This includes respecting individuality, values, cultures and religious diversity of clients and colleagues and thus contributing to the provision of a service sensitive to these needs.
