We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our developing Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (NMHT) in Wigan (previously called Living Well). Wigan Community Mental Health services are going through an exciting period of change in line with Community Transformation. The NMHT is friendly, supportive and innovative integrated secondary care team. The Neighbourhood population are often a cohort of people who are often perceived as not suitable, too complicated for the current structures or fall though the gaps.

As a developing team, we are always testing, learning and adapting to try and improve the quality of care we provide.
You will increase the levels of psychological support and care provided to people who access the service. You will provide psychological assessment, formulation and brief interventions/groups to people supported by the NMHT. You will also offer supervision, consultation, training and reflective practice groups to support all staff to work in a psychologically-informed way. As the NMHT is a developing and changing service, there will be ongoing opportunities for service development, audit and evaluation.
There will be opportunity for the role to be developed by the successful candidate to fit the needs of the Wigan population. You will be supported by the team Principal Clinical Psychologist and NMHT Management team. See attached detailed job description and person specification for further information.
