Haringey Sea Cadets is a volunteer‑run youth development organisation.

We offer young people aged 10‑18 the opportunity to experience life‑changing adventure.

Haringey Unit is looking for an enthusiastic fundraiser to join its Unit Management Team (UMT).

About the volunteer fundraiser role

You will need to liaise with the UMT and support them in their fundraising.

Your main role will be to lead on the different types of fundraising, such as trust and foundation applications, letters of appeal, community events and challenge events.

You will have full support and training, if required, from the fundraising team at the National Support Centre.

Skills & abilities

  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Numeracy and statistics skills
  • Basic research skills
  • IT skills to include use of Microsoft suite
  • Ability to read and understand guidelines
  • Ability to identify potential funders for projects
  • Ability to engage with local businesses and organisations
  • Ability to attend UMT meetings monthly for 1‑2 hours
  • Ability to engage with regional / national fundraising team for prospects
