Are you an experienced Marketing Executive who loves creating campaigns that engage audiences, change perceptions and encourage action?
This is an exciting opportunity to join City Hall’s Marketing Campaigns team, working on high-profile campaigns that reach Londoners and support some of the capital’s most important priorities.
From air quality and climate change to homelessness and tackling violence, you could be developing campaigns that help inform, engage and influence London’s diverse communities. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to major events and cultural campaigns, including New Year’s Eve celebrations and the London St Patrick’s Festival, alongside campaigns covering sport, volunteering, equality and culture.
If you enjoy combining creative thinking with data-led marketing, understand how to reach different audiences through the right channels and can confidently manage campaigns from planning through to evaluation, this could be a fantastic next opportunity.
What you'll be doing
As a Marketing Executive, you'll take ownership of small to medium-sized campaigns while supporting Senior Marketing Leads on larger, strategic projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, developing, delivering and evaluating integrated marketing and communications campaigns.
- Managing your own campaigns from initial strategy and planning through to delivery, optimisation and evaluation.
- Developing marketing plans that identify the right messages, audiences and channels to achieve campaign objectives.
- Supporting larger, high‑profile campaigns across a broad range of policy areas and London‑wide initiatives.
- Delivering activity across the full marketing mix, including digital advertising, social media, email, outdoor advertising and content marketing.
- Creating engaging and audience-focused copy for digital channels, including social media and email.
- Working with digital, web and creative teams to produce effective campaign content and assets.
- Liaising with media agencies, designers, suppliers and other external partners to coordinate campaign activity.
- Supporting media planning and buying activity and ensuring campaigns are effectively tracked and optimised.
- Monitoring campaign performance, analysing results and producing campaign evaluations and recommendations.
- Providing marketing advice and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Managing campaign documentation, timelines, budgets, status reports and actions.
- Conducting research to support campaign planning and inform marketing recommendations.
- Supporting responses to public enquiries relating to marketing campaigns.
- Building effective working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and external partners.
- Ensuring campaign materials are audience-focused and follow organisational brand, house style and digital guidelines.
Experience within the public sector is not essential. We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate transferable marketing and campaign experience from a range of sectors.
