The Greater London Authority (GLA) is seeking a Senior Manager, Fan Festivals to lead the planning and delivery of London's city experience programme for UEFA EURO 2028. This role sits at the heart of how fans, communities and visitors experience the tournament beyond the stadiums, including fan festivals, fan meeting points, fan walks and city dressing across London.
Working closely with City Operations, boroughs, partners and tournament organisers, this role will ensure fan-facing activity is safe, inclusive, engaging and operationally robust. They are looking for a confident delivery lead who can balance creativity with operational rigour, and who has experience delivering large-scale, public-facing events in complex environments.
Responsibilities- Leading the end-to-end planning and delivery of fan festivals and city experience programmes across London.
- Working closely with the Project Lead, EURO 2028 and the core delivery team to meet the GLA's host city obligations.
- Collaborating with the Senior Manager, City Operations to integrate transport, security and services into fan festival delivery.
- Acting as the primary point of contact with UEFA and UK & Ireland 2028 on fan experience and fan festival planning.
- Managing high-value supplier contracts, procurement processes and operational partners.
- Owning budgets, approvals and delivery timelines for fan festivals and city dressing.
- Recruiting and leading a multidisciplinary team to support fan experience, festivals and city activation.
- Feeding into marketing, media and communications plans for EURO 2028.
- Providing regular reporting and assurance to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Chairing and leading city experience working groups to ensure strong governance and accountability.
- Strong experience delivering large-scale public events or fan-facing programmes.
- Proven experience managing teams, suppliers and complex delivery partners.
- Experience coordinating multiple workstreams and ensuring an integrated delivery approach.
- Confidence operating in high-profile or politically sensitive environments.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
