The Mayoral Boards team has a vacancy for a Principal Committee Manager on a fixed‑term one‑year contract. The role supports the London Policing Board and its committees and provides key clerking support across the GLA Group, including the London Assembly, Mayor of London, Transport for London, London Legacy Development Corporation and the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation.

Responsibilities

  • Support London Policing Board meetings and meetings of its committees.
  • Prepare agenda papers and write minutes.
  • Coordinate with colleagues at the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime on meeting arrangements.
  • Provide procedural and governance advice in relation to meetings.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven track record of managing formal committee meetings in a high‑profile or complex organisation.
  • Evidence of ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and governance procedures.
  • Awareness of current affairs.
