The London Assembly is the body within the Greater London Authority that scrutinises the Mayor's work and investigates issues of importance to Londoners. Its 25 Assembly Members are elected every four years, at the same time as the Mayor.
About the role
The Assembly is looking for a talented policy researcher to join its dynamic scrutiny team, where you will be focused on enabling the Assembly to make informed and influential contributions to the process for developing London's spatial development strategy, the London Plan. We are looking for someone with experience in planning and regeneration policy, and strong research and analysis skills. You will be a source of expert advice and support for the Assembly and its staff, and be responsible for leading on a wide range of analytical and policy development tasks, which may include:
- Producing briefings for Assembly Members explaining complex issues
- Writing outputs for the Assembly such as reports and consultation responses
- Analysing datasets and producing visualisations
- Researching policy issues and conducting literature reviews
