We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced purchase ledger supervisor to join our central trust Finance team and line manage the purchase ledger team in providing a professional, efficient, and cost-effective finance service to our schools. This role enables schools to focus on teaching and learning, making the most of available resources to give our children the quality education they deserve. The postholder will report to and assist the Trust Senior Finance Manager in managing school and Trust Finances efficiently.
The ideal candidate should have successful experience supervising teams, operating purchase ledger systems, and VAT accounting in a similar organization. Duties include:
- Administer the Trust\’s Purchase Ledger function, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and proper authorization of orders and invoices.
- Maintain standing data, including bank details on supplier accounts.
- Ensure good internal controls operate within the Purchase Ledger function.
The postholder should have at least 5 GCSEs including English and Maths. AAT qualification is preferred, but we can support a fully funded apprenticeship for this professional qualification.
