About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Finance Business Partner (Capital) to join our central team. In this key role, you will provide strategic financial insight and support across our schools, leading on capital investment, premises, and IT expenditure to ensure resources are used effectively and deliver real value. You will work closely with school leaders, operational teams, and the Executive Team to drive robust budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, with a strong focus on capital programmes and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on capital expenditure planning, including premises and IT investment
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial forecasts
  • Oversee fixed assets, capital budgets, and the annual School Condition Allocation return
  • Partner with senior leaders and operational teams to provide strategic financial advice
  • Ensure strong financial controls, reconciliations, and compliance processes
  • Support statutory accounts with accurate capital and asset reporting
  • Work collaboratively across finance, estates, and IT to drive best value and efficiency
  • Monitor compliance systems and provide reporting to Trustees
