As the Junior Project Manager Public Funded Programmes at the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, you will support the delivery of funded projects from start to finish, coordinating activities and keeping everything on track. You will contribute to bid writing and funding applications, helping secure future opportunities, be the first point of contact for partners and stakeholders, building collaborative relationships. You will monitor budgets in timelines to keep projects on course and you will gain exposure to high-profile projects that directly impact the regional economy.
This role is vital in ensuring our publicly funded programmes are delivered to the highest standard. Acting as the driving force behind coordination and delivery, you’ll connect colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to keep projects moving forward. From shaping funding bids and tracking progress to supporting events and reporting outcomes, your contribution will make a tangible impact. By helping businesses access the support they need, you’ll play a key part in strengthening the regional economy and championing growth across Greater Birmingham.
To be successful, you will have a degree or equivalent experience. A project management qualification, e.g. APMP PFQ or Scrum Master is desirable. You will be organised, detail-oriented and proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude. You will be a confident communicator who enjoys working with a range of partners. You will be experienced in supporting projects, ideally in the public or third sectors and will be comfortable juggling multiple priorities and deadlines. A full UK driving licence is essential.
