From helping to deliver high-profile events, awards and expos, to supporting social media, email marketing and branded content, this role offers the chance to make a visible impact across one of the region’s most influential business communities.

About the role

Working closely with the Events Manager, Senior Marketing & Event Executives and divisional leads across the group, you will help plan, market and deliver a wide range of member events. You will support both the operational and promotional side of the events calendar, ensuring events are well-organised, well-attended and deliver an excellent member experience. This is a hands-on role with plenty of scope to get involved in:

  • supporting the delivery of the group-wide membership events calendar
  • acting as the operational lead for smaller member events
  • helping to promote and deliver large-scale events such as awards ceremonies, expos and festivals
  • coordinating event logistics, registration, invoicing and delegate information
  • creating and supporting marketing campaigns across email, newsletters and social media
  • developing digital assets and marketing collateral
  • supporting graphic design and video content needs
  • acting as a brand ambassador and ensuring communications align with GBCC brand guidelines

What we are looking for

  • experience of planning and delivering events
  • experience in marketing, particularly social media marketing
  • experience of building and sending HTML marketing emails via an email platform
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • excellent planning, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • confidence using Microsoft Office and other systems
  • the ability to manage your time effectively, work proactively and take ownership of tasks
  • experience using graphic design and video editing tools such as Canva, Photoshop, CapCut or similar

Experience of marketing to a B2B audience would be an advantage.

You will be a great fit if you are:

  • highly organised and dependable
  • creative and digitally confident
  • professional, adaptable and results-oriented
  • comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team
  • happy juggling multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • excited by the idea of creating engaging member experiences
