The Role

In this role, as a Welcome Host, you’ll be the friendly face of Greater Anglia, delivering effective customer service while helping passengers travel smoothly and safely. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Create a welcoming environment while providing proactive assistance to customers on and off trains.
  • Handle all matters related to safety, security, cash regulations, and maintenance of ticket machines.
  • Carry out winter precautions in accordance with station arrangements.
  • Maintain security at the station.
  • Perform station cleaning to uphold the appearance of the station.
  • Conduct security checks as part of the Station Security Plans (SSP), with varying frequencies based on the station (every 30 minutes to twice a day).
  • Look for left items, ensure waste bins are secured, and confirm that doors are shut and/or locked during security checks.
