We are currently forward planning for future roles that may become available as a Customer Service Host based at Liverpool Street Station. If you are successful in your application, you will be placed in our Talent Bank for up to six months. If a suitable opportunity becomes available during that time, you may be offered a role.

Positions may be available as Static or Relief roles, on either a full‑time or part‑time basis. Static roles offer a consistent shift pattern, giving you visibility of your shifts for the full year. Relief roles provide flexibility, with weekly rosters issued one week before the shift.

Please note that we are unable to accept your application if you do not meet the following criteria:

  • You will be working an average of 35 hours (FTE) per week. This role is shift‑based and includes early starts, late finishes, weekends, and bank holiday working.
  • Earliest start time is 07:00 and latest finish time 23:00.
  • You must be able to arrange your own transport to ensure timely arrival for early and late shifts.
  • Applicants must be over 18 years of age.
  • Employment is subject to Right to Work and DBS checks, and where applicable, a medical assessment.

As a Customer Service Host, you will provide an outstanding service across all areas of the station, ensuring that passengers have a seamless and safe travel experience. Full training and uniform provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting customers with information for our train services and other routes of onward travel to multiple destinations on our network and across London.
  • Reporting any faults and issues promptly.
  • Providing the highest possible standard of advice, information and service to our customers.
  • Delivering a safe, attractive retail station environment, with general cleaning, de-icing.
  • Participating in the safe running of trains and a safe station environment by complying with procedures.
  • Promoting all relevant marketing materials and useful information.
  • Work to fully meet the requirements of passengers, including during times of disruption, when there are service issues or emergencies.
  • Provide passenger assistance to our passengers, meeting and greeting and dealing with onward travel arrangements to ensure everyone has the support required to meet their individual needs as a passenger.
  • Providing support to mobility/visually impaired customers, who may need to hold your arm or lean on you for guidance.
