Join Our Team as a Fleet Performance Manager based at One Stratford Place.
About the Role
We are seeking a Fleet Performance Engineer to enhance the operational performance of our train fleet by reducing Delay Minutes and Cancellations. The role involves leading continuous improvement initiatives through post-incident investigations and optimising people, tools, and processes. As a key user and advocate of the Decision Support Tool, the Fleet Performance Engineer will collaborate across Fleet Technical, Fleet Control, and Train Service Delivery teams to drive meaningful improvements across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and improve the operational performance of the fleet (Class 720 or Class 745/755), focusing on delays and cancellations, using continuous improvement methods.
- Support incident reviews with documented analysis, helping identify root causes and improvement actions.
- Follow and review relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions annually to ensure compliance and readiness for audits.
- Collect, report, and present performance data and trends using Power BI dashboards, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Maintain strong working relationships with teams such as Train Service Delivery, engineering, suppliers, Network Rail, and partner companies.
- Investigate unusual data trends, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to enhance fleet performance.
- Own post-incident reviews and ensure all corrective actions are completed; manage fault procedures and support fleet support documentation.
- Provide coaching to colleagues, maintain technical competencies, and act as deputy for the Fleet Performance Manager when needed.
