- You will be working an average of 35 hours per week. This role is shift-based and includes early starts, late finishes, weekends, and bank holiday working. Earliest shift starts from 05:55 and latest finish 20:40.
- You will be supervising ticket office staff at the following stations: Cheshunt, Broxbourne, Rye House, St Margaret’s, Ware, and Hertford East. You may also be required to work in the ticket offices at Tottenham Hale, Brimsdown, Enfield Lock, and Waltham Cross.
- You must be able to arrange your own transport to ensure timely arrival for early and late shifts.
- Applicants must be over 18 years of age
- Employment is subject to Right to Work and DBS checks, and where applicable, a medical assessment
- Salary: £36,444 per annum plus allowances

We are looking for an organised, proactive, and customer‑focused Ticket Office Area Supervisor to manage a busy team within our station environment. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced setting, can manage multiple priorities, and can make decisions that help the operation run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and guide a team of around 20 ticket office colleagues, setting clear standards and ensuring a consistently high level of customer service.
- Provide accurate, real‑time train and travel information, answering customer queries and communicating clearly during service disruption.
- Deliver excellent customer service, supporting customers with ticket enquiries, journey planning, and general travel information.
- Carry out full ticketing, cash‑handling, and accountancy procedures in line with retail and compliance regulations.
- Ensure all self‑service ticket machines are operational, assisting customers with use, replenishing tickets, carrying out basic fault resolution, and reporting issues promptly.
- Complete regular audits, stock checks, and administrative tasks to maintain operational accuracy.
- Oversee fault‑reporting processes and ensure issues are escalated and resolved efficiently.
- Ensure the ticket office meets all scheduled opening and closing times.
